COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE FUND – Major (for grant amounts of greater than $50,000)

The Community Infrastructure Fund grant program is an initiative of the Tasmanian Government. The grant program is to support community infrastructure initiatives throughout Tasmania. The infrastructure delivered by the fund will enhance the liveability and cohesion of communities around Tasmania.

There are two divisions of grants, Community Infrastructure Minor Grants which are for grant amounts between $10 000 and $50 000 where matching funding is not required and, Community Infrastructure Major Grants which are for grant amounts exceeding $50 000. For projects with a cash cost of between $50 000 and $100 000, the amount of the grant will be no more than $50 000 and the applicant will need to provide the balance of funds required. Grant amounts greater than $50 000 require a minimum of $1 cash contribution from the applicant for each $1 provided from the fund.

The fund will be used to support private sector, community and local government projects.

The fund is open for not for profit organisations (incorporated or registered under company law), local councils (including council-owned businesses) and private sector businesses to assist with capital costs associated with the construction of new, or the upgrading of existing, infrastructure that will benefit the community.

A small component of the Community Infrastructure Fund will be available for planning/feasibility activities that demonstrate strong community benefit. Applications of such studies will be assessed seperately from other applications.

This section is for applicants requesting grant amounts greater than $50,000. If your application is for less than $50,000, please return to the previous web page and select the application for minor grants.

Please ensure you have read and understood the guidelines before proceeding.

ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORT DOCUMENTS

You may need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple, but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device.

You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each; however, we do recommend trying to keep files to a maximum of 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time.

COMPLETING AN APPLICATION IN A GROUP/TEAM

A number of people can work on an application using the same log in details as long as only one person is working at a time. Ensure you save as you go.
